CNS is seeking a SAP Technical Lead to join the team that supports our ever-evolving SAP Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. We are looking for self-motivated individuals who are passionate about designing robust, maintainable, and innovative solutions to software and user interface needs. Responsibilities include providing technical direction to junior developers, helping to translate business needs into modern software solutions, maintaining and enhancing existing applications, debugging production issues, and customizing delivered functionality. Specific Job Responsibilities:
Lead technical projects through effective communication with peers, customers and management.
Independently consult with clients and analyze current CNS Business Applications, needs, and services.
Analyze current business systems to determine most efficient, cost effective solutions for CNS in the specific context of the SAP R/3 and SAP S/4HANA implementations.
Coordinates the business requirements with the available service delivery model, define new requirements, and lead delivery of new capabilities.
Lead and assist in all aspects of service implementation and delivery including design, configuration, development, deployment, and support.
Keep pace with technical advancements within SAP R/3 and SAP S/4HANA related technologies and provide leadership in their application areas to meet CNS business needs.
Incorporate new technologies as appropriate.
Develop and maintain strategy and implement plans for SAP R/3 or SAP S/4HANA related business applications.
Lead efforts to define functional requirements; conduct detailed analysis of alternative solutions and make/buy options; design complex system enhancements and interfaces; develop prototype systems to refine design and requirements; document design and detailed specifications; develop data models and related data structures; plan for configuration control, testing, security, and quality assurance.
Lead and assist in all aspects of software delivery model; Design, Development, Validation, Delivery, Maintenance.
Serve as technical staff advisor for complex projects, tasks, or functions.
Serve as configuration manager for assigned R/3 or S/4HANA components.
Perform system test and validations; verify system expectations and requirements; ensure system operation; perform enhancements and improvements.
Ensure that all appropriate procedures are developed and followed in a routine basis.
Ensure that all appropriate operating procedures, contingency plans, and security policies are developed and followed on a routine basis.
Ensure solutions are well-engineered, optimized, operable, and maintainable while also ensuring adherence to defined project management policies, change management guidelines, cyber security requirements and software quality assurance processes.
Interface with IT project management to deliver solutions on schedule and within budget.

Minimum Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in engineering/science/information technology discipline: Minimum 4 years of relevant experience.
Master's degree in engineering/science/information technology discipline: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
Twelve or more years of education and/or relevant experience may be considered to satisfy educational and years of experience requirements for this posting.
Preferred Job Requirements
At least 5 or more years of experience with SAP R/3, database development, web technology, and current business systems used by CNS.
Knowledge of the following programming languages is highly desirable: ABAP, .Net, HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS3
Oracle or other relational database management systems with experience in SQL.
Demonstrated success leading in a team environment.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Experience with ITIL processes and agile development.

Requires a Q clearance; however all qualified candidates will be considered regardless of their current clearance status. The ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy Q clearance is required.
Position may require entry into Materials Access Areas (MAA) and participation in the Human Reliability Program (HRP). If HRP is required, candidate must complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph, pursuant to 10CFR 709. Medical requirements may apply.
