About this Position: As a member of the CAE Methods Department, you will be responsible to create and validate CAE methods and processes related to Optimization of 1D/3D CAE models, Automation of CAE workflows, and robustness (stochastic) processes. Proficient use of CAE contributes to improved optimization, speed, and efficiency of our products and development processes. Responsibilities include: Develop CAE methods and processes that accurately represents defined problem whether it be workflow automation, optimization routines, or robustness methods. During and after development of a CAE method, conduct validation of the method with respect to the defined requirements for the process, outputs, time constraints, etc to ensure the goals are achieved. Collaborate with other CAE engineers to understand and document the existing processes and requirements in order to accurately create the necessary Automation, Optimization, or Robustness method. Create documentation that clearly explains the requirements, assumptions, setup, process, validation, and outputs of developed methods. Also clearly document the value added with the established method. Who we are seeking: Required Experience: BS and 3-6 years of engineering experience or MS and 0-3 years of engineering experience. Required Education: BS or higher in mechanical engineering. Other job-specific skills: Proficient with CAE software such as iSight and modeFRONTIER. Familiarity with various CAE software such as Abaqus, Nastran, StarCCM+, GT-Suite, SimPack, AmeSim, Hypermesh and Ansa are preferred. Also proficient with programming language software such as Matlab, Python, and VBA. Experience with creation of CAE Models and performing verification and validation. Ability to breakdown complex concepts into simple summaries Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Additional Position Factors: Work is primarily conducted at an office desk. Some time is spent at test facilities for collaboration. Hybrid (office/home) work is available. Travel and overtime are occasionally required.
