Position Summary
Design, develop, test and maintain solutions for enterprise application integration, using development standards and software development lifecycle process. Duties include analysis, design, planning, programming, testing, documentation, error/exception handling, performance improvements and business process implementation and the creation or improvement of all related technical products, solutions and processes. Works directly with core internal and external customers to assure system function, availability and reliability is maintained to meet all customer business needs. Provides a stable, functional environment by ensuring efficiency, availability, connectivity, integrity and security of multiple Integration Systems and J2EE Application Servers. Supports and administers the Meter Data Management system. Maintains metrics and enhances tools to support system monitoring, incident resolution/escalation.

Tasks and Responsibilities
Develops, administers and supports Application Integration solutions to support business processes.
Supports and administers the EnergyIP Meter Data Management system.
Implements and manages J2EE Application Server platforms to support web delivered business applications.
Manages work packages to ensure project deliverables are met through collaboration with Application Development, IT Infrastructure, Communication Services, Service Support, IT Operations and other IT and technical support teams.
Works with business unit teams and vendors to provide proper guidance to ensure integration services and architectures are designed, tested, documented, implemented, enhanced and maintained according to the operations standards and expected service quality.
Provides 2nd level proactive and reactive service and performance management for mission critical systems. Identifies requirements for real-time alerts to notify support groups of a current or potential performance problem.
Responds to real-time performance alerts to resolve performance problems, performs regular on-going review and analysis of performance data to identify current performance problems and proactively detects potential future performance problems.
Automates system administration tasks and scripting.
Ensures daily support and a high level of 24x7x365 service availability. On-call rotation as needed.
Independently performs complex troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, solution development and implementation.
Maintains host security (passwords, file permissions, file system integrity, security packages, SSH) and network security.
Supports of services and processes including appropriate issue escalation.
Cross-trains co-workers on new designs.
Use solid oral and written communication skills to communicate solution function and value.
Core responsibilities focus on strategic as well as operational/tactical aspects of the organization.
Interprets and applies organizational policy and recommends changes in procedures.
May provide work direction to subordinates within the context of assigned projects.
Plans and assigns lower level analysts to given projects or tasks.
This is the highest level subject matter/technical expert and may include limited supervisory responsibilities.
It is not expected that all fully developed professionals will reach this level.
Specific professional certification is REQUIRED to reach this level (if applicable).
Demonstrated ability to lead projects.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Skills
Minimum Knowledge and Abilities
Experience working w/ various EAI (Enterprise Application Integration) software packages such as IBM MQ, IBM WebSphere Application Server, IBM ACE (App Connect Enterprise), MuleSoft, Tomcat, Weblogic, Active MQ, Kafka & EnergyIP Meter Data Mgmt system.
Must have significant experience with at least 9 of the following:
Administration, performance tuning and development in IBM ACE, and MuleSoft;
Administration, performance tuning in IBM MQ, Active MQ, and Kafka;
IBM MQ or IBM ACE development, including the ability to write custom WebSphere nodes;
API (Application Programming Interface) development and administration experience using IBM ACE and MuleSoft.
Administration in Tomcat, Weblogic and WebSphere Application Server on UNIX and Windows platforms;
Installation experience with IBM MQ/IBM ACE or WebSphere Application Server in a High Availability configuration;
Java or ABAP programming;
JVM tuning;
Service Oriented Architectures – SOAP, WSDL;
Restful Services using RAML or Swagger;
Oracle, SQL Server, Hadoop data administration on UNIX and Windows systems;
Perl, Shell Scripting, XSLT, DataWeave, SQL programming skills.
Other:
Working knowledge of project management concepts, tools and techniques.
Ability to manage multiple priorities related to multiple projects at once and work collaboratively across organizational lines.
Good written and verbal communication skills. The ability to express oneself effectively within a group and in one-to-one conversations. The ability to convey information clearly and effectively through both formal and informal documents.

Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in Information Systems or related field from an accredited university.
IBM ACE certification.
MuleSoft certification.
Utility Industry experience.
