REPORTS TO: Director of Digital Development and User Experience RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES : Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of developers and technical experts to achieve departmental goals and foster a collaborative work environment. Encourage creativity, skill development, and growth within the team. Project Management: Plan, prioritize, and execute mobile and web development projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and manage project timelines effectively. Technology Strategy: Develop and implement a forward-thinking technology strategy for mobile and web platforms that aligns with the company's long-term vision and industry best practices. Platform Development: Oversee the end-to-end development of mobile and web applications, ensuring they are user-friendly, scalable, accessible, and responsive across various devices and browsers. Quality Assurance: Establish and maintain rigorous quality assurance processes to identify and resolve issues, ensuring our products are reliable and bug-free. Security and Compliance: Ensure the security and compliance of our mobile and web platforms, implementing necessary measures to protect user data and intellectual property. Performance Monitoring: Monitor the performance and usage metrics of mobile and web applications, analyzing data to make data-driven decisions for continuous improvement. Research and Innovation: Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in mobile and web development, and proactively integrate innovative solutions into our products. Accessibility: Ensures that accessibility requirements are met for both web and mobile applications. Perform other job related duties as assigned. REQUIREMENTS (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities): Strong technical background in mobile app development, web development, and familiarity with modern frameworks and libraries. A background in WordPress CMS, including template, and plugin development, along with experience developing with plugins such as Advanced Custom Fields and Gravity Forms. Working knowledge of MySQL. Knowledge of Python / Django for API development. Knowledge of cross platform mobile application frameworks such as React Native or Flutter. Knowledge of AWS (or other Cloud computing environment) is a plus. Demonstrated experience in project management. Collaborate with UX Designer in the planning, ideation, and development of user-facing applications. Knowledge of security and compliance standards relevant to mobile and web applications. Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Proactively initiates, develops, and maintains effective working relationships with team members; follows through with commitments and fosters mutual trust with fellow employees; cooperates with a variety of people to achieve results. Ability to prioritize, execute and manage multiple projects effectively. TECHNICAL SKILLS / LANGUAGES: PHP, WordPress, Python, Django, HTML, CSS, Javascript, NodeJS, ReactJS, VueJS, Swift, Objective-C, Kotlin, Java, Docker, Jenkins EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE PREFERENCE : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is required.
