Meet the team: As the Manager of Software Test Development, you will be responsible for designing and implementing test mechanisms to ensure Dexcom Apps and Devices are released with the highest Quality. You will implement QA best practices, identify continuous improvement projects, evangelize latest tools and technologies to accelerate testing and scale test capability across multiple mobile platforms and OSs (iOS/Android). You will work with other Engineering and Marketing teams to ensure Dexcom Apps work flawlessly on new devices and platforms worldwide. Under your leadership and technical guidance, your team of engineers will develop tests and tools needed to ensure our products meet FDA standards and join Dexcom’s mission to enable people in taking control of their Diabetes. Where you come in: You will Design, implement, maintain and recommend changes to test cases, test procedures and instructions, and product evaluation processes. Present test results/metrics and project plans to senior management teams, justify need for resources and secure funding for new projects/improvements. Promote standard test methodologies for use throughout the company. Specifies test equipment and Software tools required for product verification or qualification testing. Assist in the testing and evaluation of new mobile features to ensure that said products contain no unidentified problems. Work with marketing and PM teams to identify key mobile phones/platforms used by customers globally and ensure compatibility across various App/OS upgrades. Lead a team of engineers to test Dexcom Apps on All mobile platforms (iOS and Android) and work with development team on debugging and bug fixes for failures. Work with SDETs to automate test cases and minimize manual testing, log analysis, report generation etc. to speed up the test cycles and increase capacity. Works closely with the testing teams in US/Mexico and India to implement tools, automation and processes to ensure test capacity can scale rapidly. Build/maintain critical test infrastructure, maximize infra usage with 24/7 test execution. Tests new features to ensure that features and performance are correct, and that test results are accurate. Work with the global QA engineering teams to facilitate collaboration and ensure 24/7 test execution and test progress. Provide training to new QA engineers as required to ensure knowledgeable and efficient personnel. What makes you successful: You have experience leading remote teams, facilitating communication and standardizing expectation, reports, metrics and processes globally. Deep knowledge of wireless technologies (BT/BLE) and experience working with embedded products/devices Past experience with connectivity, interference and range testing for wireless/mobile devices and building test infrastructure to test such conditions. Solid understanding of the tools and technologies used for end-to-end mobile application testing and Automation (iOS and Android) Experience in using tools like Selenium, Appium, AccelQ, Karate, Postman, Junit, Jmeter etc. to automate UI flows on multiple platforms (iOS and Android) Experience leading SDETs to build tools using cloud services/tools like S3, EC3/VM, Lambdas, Device farms etc. Experience working with the iOS and Android developer communities and using the latest/beta versions of iOS/Android releases. Experience in QA life cycle, from test plan, test execution, to reporting bugs. You can manage ambiguity, work independently and drive initiatives for continuous improvement. You have strong and effective interpersonal communication skills and the ability to interact professionally and positively with a diverse group of clients and staff. Travel Required: 15-25% Experience and Education Typically requires a Bachelors degree with 8-12 years of industry experience. 2-5 years of previous management or lead experience. Exempt Salary Details The annual base salary range for this role is $122,500 to $204,100. Final compensation package will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, business needs and market demand.
