Our systems include CM, Modernization Planning, and System Engineering tools. This position is located in Dahlgren, VA.
Responsibilities:
As a developer, you will join a skilled development team of expert testing, and development personnel. Each member of the team is afforded opportunities to take on responsibilities according to their experience level and professional growth goals. Our staff mentors each other in their areas of expertise continuously enhancing the synergistic capability of the team. The responsibilities are as follows:
Design and develop software functionality according to requirements using dynamic languages like .Net, C++, and Java
Work in a govCloud environment utilizing a DevSecOps pipeline framework
Write and maintain technical documentation
Peer test application updates
Share information on technical skills and mentor coworkers
Participate in Change Control Boards and Technical Reviews
Work in Windows, Unix, and Linux environments
Essential Skills and Experience:
Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain and maintain an Active Secret Security Clearance
Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in one of the following fields of study: Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or Math plus 2 years of experience; or six (6) years of technical experience in developing complex applications in lieu of degree
Three (3) years of experience using three of the following applications: C#, Java, Python, VB.Net, ASP.Net/MVC, SQL Server, Bootstrap, Angular, JS, Jquery, Knockout JSm, or HTML 5
Experience and strong desire to invent new ways of approaching problems and developing innovative solutions
Knowledge of tailoring applications for F5 load balancing and delivery
Knowledge of Object Oriented Programming
Knowledge of Application Containerization with Docker and Kubernetes
Strong skills in debugging and troubleshooting applications to facilitate fixes and improvements
Ability to clearly communicate ideas to coders, teammates and management
Experience building information management applications and working with relational databases - Oracle preferred
Experience working as part of a team of developers, coders, testers, and Configuration Management specialists
Preferred Skills and Experience:
Security+ CE Certification
Experience working with .Net/MVC, C#, Java, and Javascript are the preferred skillset
Two (2) years of experience in Agile development and peer programming
Experience with AWS cloud tools for DevSecOps pipelines including automated testing tools
