Title: Scrum Master Job #: Location: Remote Status: Regular Full-Time Minimum Clearance: Ability to obtain Secret **US Citizen** Superlative Technologies (DBA SuprTEK) is seeking a full-time, experienced, and motivated We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Scrum Master to join our dynamic and innovative team. As a Scrum Master, you will play a crucial role in facilitating and guiding our agile development process, ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality products. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, product owners, and stakeholders to promote the adoption and continuous improvement of Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum. Your expertise in fostering a culture of collaboration, transparency, and accountability will be essential in driving our team's success. The team you will be overseeing is developing world-class leading edge technical applications used for mission planning and re-planning for the Air Force Air Mobility Command (AMC) and Department of Defense U.S. Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM); so, familiarity with these subject areas or knowledge and experience with AMC’s current portfolio of Command and Control (C2) Systems (e.g., CAMPS Legacy, GDSS, GATES, etc.,) is very helpful. Job Description The Scrum Master applies Agile principles and methodologies to serve as Coach and Facilitator for their team(s) of developers, test engineers, and product owner/business analysts. This includes conducting planning sessions, creating stories and acceptance criteria, tracking development progress, identifying and removing roadblocks, and ensuring application features meet the customer vision and functional requirements. Team success is a Scrum Master’s priority. Primary Responsibilities Scrum Process Facilitation: Lead and facilitate all aspects of the Scrum process, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and sprint retrospectives. Ensure that team members are adhering to Scrum principles and practices. Team Empowerment: Foster a self-organizing and motivated team environment where members are empowered to make decisions, collaborate effectively, and take ownership of their work. Provide guidance and coaching to help the team achieve their goals. Obstacle Removal: Identify and remove impediments or obstacles that hinder the team's progress. Collaborate with stakeholders to address and resolve issues in a timely manner. Collaboration and Communication: Facilitate clear and open communication between team members, product owners, and stakeholders. Act as a bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure a shared understanding of project goals and priorities. Metrics and Progress Tracking: Monitor team performance and sprint progress using relevant metrics and tools. Use data-driven insights to identify areas for improvement and drive continuous enhancement of team efficiency and productivity. Continuous Improvement: Encourage a culture of continuous improvement by facilitating regular retrospectives, fostering experimentation, and implementing best practices to optimize the team's processes and workflows. Servant Leadership: Lead by example, demonstrating the values and principles of Agile and servant leadership. Support the team's growth and development while upholding the Agile mindset. Training and Coaching: Provide guidance and coaching to team members on Agile methodologies, Scrum practices, and other relevant concepts. Promote a deep understanding of Agile principles throughout the organization. Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with product owners and other stakeholders to ensure alignment between development efforts and business objectives. Help prioritize the backlog and ensure that the team is working on the most valuable tasks. Qualifications: Proven experience as a Scrum Master or similar role, leading Agile teams to successful project delivery. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a computer, engineering or science field. Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum, and practical application in software development or other relevant fields. Experience with Agile techniques: User Stories, Test-driven Development (TDD), Behavior-driven Development (BDD), Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Automated Testing, etc. Strong leadership and problem-solving skills within a team environment. Excellent facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to adapt and be flexible in a rapidly changing environment. Problem-solving mindset with a proactive and collaborative approach. Familiarity with Agile tools and software for tracking and managing work (e.g., Jira, Digital.ai, etc.). Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Scrum Master, Agile Certified Practitioner) are a plus. S. Citizenship. An active Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one. The ability and motivation to stay current with changes to the SAFe, emerging software development approaches and software languages.
