We are looking for an experienced IT application development manager who can oversee several development teams (offshore and onshore) to ensure that software development projects track to plan. Ideally, we would prefer a former software developer or software architect who has moved into a management role. This person must be able supervise teams, own, and drive issues to resolution, and take ownership of resolving conflicts and obstacles. Our development environment involves Java 11, Angular 11, SQL Server 2019 database, and other supporting frameworks. Having experience with managing India-based offshore delivery teams is critical. A typical day in the life of a Sr. Manager, IT Application Development will include the following: The responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Be responsible for tracking all client requested enhancements, prioritizing them by working with business users, and managing the entire process around their release to production (in essence, tracking the mini projects). A successful candidate will be performing functions to create, plan, initiate, prioritize and maintain key project plans that address tasks, milestones, dates, status and resource allocations Ensure proper communication about enhancement status to all stakeholders Drive to outcomes via detailed follow-ups and meetings Escalate issues in a timely manner Partners with senior leadership of the business community to identify and prioritize opportunities for utilizing IT to achieve the goals of the enterprise. Possess a good understanding of SDLC process (Waterfall, Agile) and project management methodologies and tools Be prepared to work in a high-growth fast-paced company Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field is required Minimum of 5+ years of professional management work experience is strongly preferred Background as a software developer or software architect is required Experience in managing offshore delivery teams is preferred Bi-lingual in English and Spanish or Chinese/Mandarin is a plus This is an office-based position, the ability to sit for extended periods of time is necessary All employees working onsite in a PharmaCord facility are strongly encouraged to be vaccinated against COVID-19 We are located in the River Ridge Commerce Center at 150 Hilton Drive, Jeffersonville, IN. The employee is frequently required to sit for long periods of time, use hands to type, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Must be able to type 35 WPM with 97% accuracy. Although very minimal, flexibility to travel as needed is preferred. This job operates in a professional office environment.
