As a Sr. Systems Engineer for Mouser, you will have the chance to contribute to our global culture and technology direction.
The Mouser Sr. Systems Team manages our applications and infrastructure that provide critical functionality and services for running Mouser’s core applications. Additionally, this team works alongside the developers to manage and support the development pipelines and various continuous improvement/automation initiatives.
We are looking for Sr. Systems Engineers that meet the following criteria:
At least a 4-year degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field
4+ years of application and systems support experience required. For internal candidates, experience can be a combination of internal and external experience.
4+ years of experience working with Windows, Unix Operating System, software, and applications
2+ years of experience in DevOps and process automation
4+ years of experience supporting middleware applications with languages React, Python, Java and SQL/No SQL databases.
Experience creating and documenting solutions
Knowledge and experience designing highly available and fault tolerant solutions.
Knowledge of source code management tools such as Gitlab, GitHub
Knowledge of networking systems and basic firewall concepts
Bonus points for:
Knowledge of AIX, Linux, Kubernetes, and Windows.
Experience with CI/CD platforms, DevOps methodologies, and securing cloud platforms.
Proficient at documenting and diagraming systems and application integrations (UML, ERD, Workflow, Dataflow, etc.)
Experience Implement monitoring and automated alerting for CI/CD pipelines using various methods and tools; review overall system and application monitoring and identify gaps and implement relevant monitoring and alerts
Understanding of networking concepts: VLAN, network segmentation, protocols, host-based firewall configurations, industrial networks
