Primary Role

Meter Reading, Service Orders, (turn on’s / Off’s, Non Pays, readings, etc.) Line Locates, Distribution System Troubleshoot and Repairs, Service Watch.

Key Accountabilities

  • Reads meters. FSR (Ons, Offs, Non-Pays, Rereads, Ext.). Locates.
  • Makes repairs to distribution system.
  • Operates valves and hydrants.
  • LOS meters. Operates and maintains Ozone Treatment plant.
  • Performs preventive and corrective maintenance using CMMS.
  • Operates and maintains booster pumps and wells.
  • Performs flow tests.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

Experience/Education

  • GED/High School diploma
  • All newly hired associates are required to obtain a minimum State of
  • Missouri Water Supply Operators Class "C" Certification within 18 months of associate’s eligibility to test.
  • After obtaining a Class "C" license employees are required to obtain
  • Operator Class "B" certification within 18 months of their eligibility to test.
  • As a condition of continued employment, all associates are expected to achieve and maintain required certification.
  • Exisiting Class "C" or above licensees are preferred.
  • Drinking Water, Waste Water, Environmental, Water Quality.

Work Environment

  • Indoors office setting, and Outdoors all weather conditions.
